Where is Riverina Hand Therapy located?

We are located at 19/325 Edward Street in Wagga Wagga.  We are located within the Specialist Medical Centre. You can access the building from the front, back and side carparks. We are just up from Gloria Jeans and near the Docker Street intersection (near the hospital).

What parking is available?

There is parking located on site. Car parks can be found at the front and side of the building. The parks at the back are dedicated to staff who work at the centre. 

How long are the appointments for?

In terms of planning your day, plan to be with us for 60 minutes for your initial assessment. Follow up appointments are between 30-60 minutes depending on your needs.  

Do I need a referral?

You do not need a referral to come and see us.  The only time a referral is needed is when you are on an EPC care plan (see above), if you are claiming under Department of Veterans Affairs, or if you have a WorkCover claim.

Do you offer discounted therapy?

At Riverina Hand Therapy we offer a pensioner discount. This is a 10% discount off all consultations and consumables for any clients on a disability or aged pension.  We also accept clients who are on an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). This is a care plan that is provided by your doctor. It allows you to claim back 5 of your therapy consultations though Medicare each year.  This plan is available to people who have complex or chronic conditions. If you are interested in this plan, you need to talk to your doctor.

Who will I see there?

When you are arrive at Riverina Hand Therapy you will be greeted by our client coordinator Ciara. Our therapists are Abbey, Ashley, Ashlea, Aimee, Caitlin and Sidney. All our therapists are trained in treating the hand and wrist. They work closely together so you might meet more than one during one of your visits. 

Is Riverina Hand Therapy a local business?

Yes! All our staff live locally. We were established in 2006 right here in Wagga by our founder and CEO, Amy Geach. Amy moved to Wagga to start Riverina Hand Therapy to decrease the need for our regional clients to travel to Sydney for treatment. Our service has provided local home grown support and expert therapy since 2006. Amy now lives in Newcastle for family reasons, and is actively present in the business full time as our CEO boss lady.

Do you see NDIS clients?

Yes! We welcome self and plan managed NDIS clients to our practice for all upper limb therapy needs, including splinting, casting and assistance with regaining movement and strength to match your goals.
